JohnsByrne’s annual holiday gift needed to celebrate client relationships while demonstrating the company’s capabilities. The team developed an interactive concept around the theme Amplify Your Packaging.
Our Approach
- Created a compact, all paperboard combination lock box styled as a retro radio with dimensional chipboard dials.
- Added a QR code leading to a production video that reveals the combination at the end.
- Used cold foil, gloss UV, reticulating varnish, soft touch coating, embossing and debossing to recreate metallic radio details.
- Hand assembled the locks, inserted the gifts, set each package in the locked position and packed every unit in an individual shipper.
The Result
The video builds anticipation, the rotating dials invite hands on interaction, and the final unlock completes the reveal. The package serves as both a holiday thank you and a working demonstration of JohnsByrne’s capabilities from concept through fulfillment.
