Aveda needed a holiday collection that felt festive and giftable while staying true to the brand’s environmental commitments. The structures had to create a memorable seasonal experience using recycled paperboard and a restrained material palette.
Our Approach
- Produced the collection with a 100% recycled paperboard with post-consumer waste content substrate
- Engineered blooming carton with a base that opens outward when the lid is removed, creating a staged product reveal without adding unnecessary components
- Designed an ornament shaped carton with a satin ribbon so the package can be reused as a holiday decoration
The Result
The collection delivers a premium holiday experience through structure, interaction and thoughtful material choices. The blooming cartons transform opening into a memorable product reveal, while the ornament package extends the experience beyond the initial unboxing through reuse.
